Originally established in the 1980's & re-furbished and re-branded in 2005, the salon is owned by stalwarts of British Hairdressing Frank and Liz Shipton whose dedication shown in progressing the Style Collection team is second to none.
Having both trained and had separate salons in South Wales they moved to Bristol and built on their own personal achievements in the National and International Competition world by passing on that knowledge, not only with success to their own team, also to many other hairdressers throughout the country.

With each having over 40 years of experience Liz and Frank Shipton have been and continue to be very involved within the hairdressing industry and it's many organizations, particularly the Fellowship for British Hairdressing.

A "Fellow with Distinction", Frank has held many offices, including World Cup Team Manager and F.A.M.E. Team Manager; he currently holds the position of Chairman of the Fellowship.

Liz was also awarded “Fellow with Distinction” in 2007 by the Fellowship. Throughout the 1980/90’s she was part of the British International Squad and went on to become trainer to the team for the 1998 and 2000 World Cup.
She and the Style Collection Art Team are consistently showcasing their work at the many Master classes, Workshops, Seminars and Shows that the Fellowship hosts.

The salon team is also successfully involved in photo shoots and makeovers, for both the trade and consumer press. In 2007, with Frank taking the photographs, Liz was nominated and went onto win, the Wales and South West category at the British Hairdressing Awards.
