Catwalk trends show an eclectic mix of clothing styles for the coming season from forties inspired glamour through to another shot at punk.

The graduated bob has been the current trend for shorter hair but as the year progresses and moves into 2008 we will see hair cuts change to a more rounded, silhouette shape with the emphasis on sexy, complimentary colouring. Think "page boy" outlines with softer, internal longer layering, and dig out those crimping irons and heated rollers again!

Longer hair maintains its volume and can be worn with both full and short heavy fringes giving a contrasting "edge" to the softer waves and big curls, or dressed off the face into retro forties style glamour.

Short-cropped hair is all about texture giving the freedom of wash and wear with a "messed up" look suited to all face shapes, avoiding the severe spiky look of a few years ago.

Colours

Brunettes have had a serious fashion moment with deep rich browns and warm red tones, but as summer ends, bronze undertones will soften and complement sun kissed skin, which in turn, will deepen as the tan fades.

Redheads have been big news for a while with titian gold and strawberry blondes leading the way. Subtle shades of gold brown & blonde will enhance these colours to give an overall tortoiseshell effect.

Blond hair never really goes out of fashion and this year the pearlised, platinum and ash tones have added Hollywood glamour to pre-lightened hair. The lure of the movie star look was still apparent on the runway with the return of dressed hair and the skirt suit.
